This journey began when I saw a bouquet of dahlias a friend of mine had grown. I had never seen them before, despite being an avid flower gardener. I thought: why aren’t these more widely grown and shared?

I had to try my hand growing this unique flower. My husband, Craig, built me a few raised beds to protect these delicate plants.  There was some trial and error, but as it turns out, they grew well for us. What started as a small backyard experiment, quickly grew into a flourishing farm. Over time, I realized these blooms weren’t just flowers—they were joy, resilience, and connection all wrapped into one, and I had to share them with the world. To this day, when my flowers are displayed, I smile when I hear people say, “Are those real?  Can I touch them?” It reminds me of the first time I saw dahlias in person
